There are various stages involved in kitchen and bathroom projects.

Whether it's a renovation or new installation, the stages will be much the same.

The only difference in a renovation project is that the old fixtures will have to come out, and doorways or windows may need to be moved.

In general, there are two phases in a kitchen or bathroom project: the design phase and the building phase.

We'll cover the design phase in the following lessons in this section:

  • Site assessment

  • Design brief

  • Project plans

  • Contracts and legislation

  • Final preparations.

In the remaining lesson we'll introduce the activities that make up the construction stage of the project. It's called:
